Music Video: Spit of You

The music video, which I filmed in Bournemouth, is set to Sam Fender’s “Spit of You” song. It follows the story of two close friends who’ve recently fallen out, focusing on the person who’s been kicked out of the house. As he walks around the places they used to love, the fish and chip shop, the shed and the pub, he keeps slipping into memories of the good times they had together. These moments show the song’s themes of conflict, regret, and the kind of bond that doesn’t just disappear, even when things go wrong.

The video builds up to a proper emotional moment when the two of them unexpectedly bump into each other at a pub. In that familiar setting, they finally face what happened, talk it out, and sort out their problems. The way the video is shot highlights the loneliness he feels when on his own, as well as the comfort that comes with fixing a friendship. Altogether, it creates a grounded, emotional story that fits the mood of the song really well.
